He's my best friends brother (not the best decision) and we part of the same circle of friends so i can't just tell him i'm a lesbian. I need a strategy that will leave him as least bitter as possible. It's a sticky situation but any ideas would be really helpful. Thx!

I read that when you want to break up with someone but not hurt their feelings, the best thing to say is: " You're too good for me, I think you deserve someone better,so I don't think we should see each other anymore." This builds up their ego and lets them down easily. If he says he's not too good for you then tell him You're just not interested anymore. You can't hang around with someone you don't care to be with anymore, but that you'd like to remain friends.

Don't you think that people deserve honesty. Instead of a line just tell the truth about why you want to break up. Noone deserves the humiliation of being lied to.

It's over and I never really seeing it work between us because I've come to the realization that you aren't and can't possibly be my type. Please respect my decision and lets just end it in good terms.

Just tell him you aren't feeling it... That always works for me. Just tell him you need some space and you still want to feel comfortable hanging out with him...
