There are a couple of things that you can do to get your computer working better and faster.
First go to start
< programs
click analyze, and see if it says you should defrag. If it does, then click yes and you may have to wait awhile for it to finish. This may boost you're computers performance by a little.
Second, go to Start < Control Panel < System < Advanced , Under Performance click Settings < Advanced < at the bottom click change and you will see 2 small boxes that have different numbers. Now change the initial size at the top box to the maximum size at the bottom and then click set.
This will improve your computers speed by a lot.
Also, try removing junk that is clogging up system space. If you are still having problems, you may need to upgrade your computer and buy more ram for your computer. If you don't know what this, then i recommend calling your computer company tech support.

Delete all unused programs on your harddrive - and be aware that many of the entities you might encounter on line send cookies to your computer without your consent and without notifying you - so get AdAware and learn to use it, and SpyBot Search and Destroy and learn to use that. Learn where the "cookies" folder is located on your machine and how to delete unwanted cookies. Combine the above with a good firewall (Microsoft's firewall is far too transparent). All the above should speed up your machine.

Try clearing unwanted disk contents to free the disk. Try to leave the primary drive of your system (say your C drive) with the maximum free space. If that also doesnt work, then get ur disks defragmented.

it sounds like you might have some spyware on your startup items..... contact your isp to see how to check it and remove it from the startup. do an antivirus scan and sweep. that sounds like that is the reason why it's running slow..... you can't "speed it up persay"\, it's like a pipe, if there's some things clogging it up, then it slows and piles up the flow of the water.
