The complete redesign of the Ford Explorer in 2002 brought a wealth of improvements in the areas of passenger accommodations, safety, comfort and utility. An independent rear suspension provides a smoother ride as well as room for a third-row seat that can accommodate a pair of adults. Factor in smooth performance, a roomy cabin, plenty of luxury features and commendable crash test scores and the Explorer makes for a solid pick in the family-oriented midsize SUV segment.

well if u want to spend a bit more...take the honda cr-v. It has an elegant look and is one of the best suv's out in it's class. But if u can't spend that much, I suggest the hyndai santa fe. It is a bit a fair size and pretty economically friendly.

i think of the recent save away from high quality (replaced the save away from Neon) is a candy automobile, MSRP starts at 14K. you should barter down from the MSRP and not from a broking markup! some attempt to get you to barter between the broking markup and the MSRP-- yet you're nonetheless overpaying. you decide directly to pay below MSRP. concentration has a $2500 rebate perfect now and MSRP starts at around 14K as nicely. undergo in suggestions you in all probability wont get the optimal value to your commerce in-- dealerships not often do provide you suitable dollar. Ask around to check not basically expenditures on the recent automobile yet commerce ins-- this could make a great distinction!

CRV is decent as a small SUV.
Ford Escape is kinda neat. Test drive the hybrid. I like the gas saving concept.

A Toyota Rav-4 or Honda CR-V would be good choices if you're willing to spend about $20-25,000...or you could get a used one.
