If the 30 plus million illegal aliens are included, there are approximately 90 million U.S. residents without so called "health" insurance. The best way to stay healthy is to avoid conventional mainstream medicine and the pharmaceutical toxic and dangerous drugs. Learn all you can about good nutrition from alternative/naturopathic health practicioners, nutritionists, and health food stores. You will need to do much research, however, believe me, it is well worth the effort. My chronological age is 73, and I have never submitted to any surgical procedure nor would I ever submit to such quackery. I take a good quality multiple vitamin every day, 1000 mg vitamin C, 400IU vitamin E, Saw Palmetto and pygeum for prostate maintenance, and 1 teaspoon of Cod Liver oil each day. I eat all of the organic fruits and vegetables that I can find. I have a big organic garden in the summer, and no red meat. Eat sockeye salmon and sardines for your meat sources. Use your web search for Alternative medicine and healing, nutrition. Get as much exercise as possible, keep the weight down, do not smoke or drink alcohol. I walk everyday and work on my small farm. I am one of the ones that has NO health insurance.
I studied herbal remedies, nutritional health and how our food and medicine is poisoning us. I am 52 years old and have only had to go to the doctors/hospital to have my four babies 20 years ago.
People are too reliant on the doctor getting them hooked on meds they do not need and actually can kill them. They take cholestrol medication and do not know that it depletes their own bodies Vitamin E and Co Q 10. They eat substitute sweeteners that cause all kind of bad side effects. They eat food loaded with msg and wonder why their health is bad

Avoid
msg
substitute sweeteners and diet food drinks
learn to optimize vitamins and herbs
