I love going out to the bar or club with my girls for drinks and dancing. My boyfriend refuses to go with me because he doesn't like going out clubbing. He thinks I want to go out and get attention from other guys but i love my boyfriend and other guys just don't interest me. I'm 22 and i love to go out and drink and party on the weekends. Is this such a bad thing. He says I have an alcohol problem but I only drink on the weekends. He picks a fight with me everytime I want to go out and party with my friends. Is it such a bad thing that I like to do this? Does being in love mean giving up the things you like to do and what makes you happy?

It doesn't mean you have to give up things that make you happy, you just need to find compromise. Maybe you can not go out every weekend and spend a little more time with your boyfriend. If you like going out, don't give it up completly for a man.

Being in love and being in a serious relationship means you got to compromise. Maybe he is insecure with himself and needs to know that you really are into him and not looking for other guys. Or maybe he's the one accusing you of looking for other guys when he is actually looking for other girls....
Though the best thing you can do, is show your love and affection for your boyfriend by doing something special with him. Something you both really dont do a whole lot or ever. Do it on a day that you normally would go out with the girls, ditch them to be with him.
And talk to him, does he still go out with his guy friends and do guy things? If so then explain to him that you need you independence just like he does, that you should be allowed to do things with your girls just like he does with his guys. Though maybe insted of going to bars and clubs with the girls, change it around a bit, go to dinner and a movie insted and be back earlier than you usually do. Because serious if you do not have an alcohol problem then why always go some place that has it? There is nothing wrong with going to the bars and clubs maybe once or twice a month but is it something you really need to do every weekend? It also could be that if he is not going out with the guys and your going out with the girls, that he feels left out in his own way...

No being in love should be the thing that makes you happy.
If this guys makes you happy...going out wont mean a thing to you anymore because you have a new priority. I mean you can do that that ever now and then. But If your boyfriend dont like you goin to a club thats just reasonable because he is your boyfriend and anything can happen when you go out so he's just worried.

When you make the choce to have a parnter, you make a choice to compramise your lifestyle to include his...and now your asking is it ok to not make a compramise...No ! it isn't ....cus your partner is getting the short end of this one...find a middle ground that allows you do enjoy the party life and not rub your partner wrong or the end of this relationship is near.

Well if your in love the bars should be the last place to go unless your with your man.....?...How would you feel if he went to a bar with his friends?....To have someone good in your life means giving up on your fun cause it could be a win or lose thing....If you really love him you should showe him and if you choose to go out on the town then he should go....If he choosees not to go then you shoulnt go...Like women you have to prove to us you love us and that goes for men to. people say that once you find that certain one then ypou have to leave all of theat stuff. but i think that once you find that certian one thingsa that you once found fun and amussing you don't alway want to do all of it because yoiu found some one that you can do all kinds of things with.

It is for me because he hates it when I hang out with my friends(who are guys by the way). I hang out with them anyway.
