I love tanning!

Ok once you go, tell them that you've never been to one before and they'll help you out.

It's like a long bed thing, and you can take off all of your clothes if you want, but if you're not comfortable you can wear a bathing suit underneath your clothes, or use your bra and underwear.

Then it might automatically turn on, or you'll have to press a button. Then you just lay there until the thing turns off. The maximum time is usually 20 minutes, but I wouldn't go that long if it's your first time.

I'd buy some good tanning lotion for your first time going...it will help. Don't use oil because it messes up the tanning beds! And make sure to use lotion after you tan. Sometimes your skin can get really itchy, or burned.

Good luck!!!

You just go in, you tell them you want to tan, BEST to not wear any cloths when you get on the tanning bed. but you tell them you have never tanned before, they should only put the timmer on for 5 or 10 minutes your first time. NO LONGER THAN 10 mins. they take you in the room, the table should be cleaned and eye glasses in the room. They close the door, while you are getting undressed they start your timer from the front desk and you hit the start button when you are ready to get on the table. You get on the table, you pull the top half down on top and then you make sure your eye glasses are on. They usually have radios and fans in the rooms for your comfort. When your time is up the lightbulbs will go off and then you get dressed and then you can leave. The place you tan may have stickers in the room with you and you can put it on you before you tan so you can see how much you tanned for that time. Have fun, IT is great for relaxation

Well a tanning bed is like a large coffin-type thing if you ask me. The bed surface is glass or plastic that allows ultraviolet light to pass through. Underneath there are lamps and in the lid there are lamps that produce ultraviolet.

You go into a private room strip down to naked or a bathing suit, you are usually givne a token to make the timer box run or you have to set the timer box, there are posted instructions on how long to set it for--first time is the least amount of exposure. Like the real sun you have to work up to longer exposures or you can burn.

You lay down on the bed after you set the timer, you put eye protectors over your eyes, close the lid over you and lay there for the prescribed time....exposing yourself to the ultraviolet rays.

When you are done you dress and leave. Voila, later your skin will start to react by darkening...

You need multiple exposures to actually get a tan, just like when you do it in the sun....

first off if it is ur first time going u need to just go for about 5 minutes. bring lotion... NEVER tan without lotion. since it is ur first time at the tanning facility they will most likely take u through their shop and show u their beds. they will help u decide what bed is right for u. then they will actually show u how the beds turn on. and how to operate them. once u r in the room they will give u a timer... usually 3 minutes to get undressed and lotioned up. the bed will then turn on and u climb in. after the bed shuts off then u get out and get dressed. like i said though since it is ur first time then u need to start out slow and work up. if u go for 5 minutes and u dont burn go for 7 the next time. if u start to burn.. skip a day and go for 2 minutes less then the last time. most beds r 20 minutes. unless u get a power bed and then they only go for 15. my salon itself has both but the power beds r fairly expensive. more then just the regular 20 minute beds. u will be fine and like i said before... it is ur first time and they will most likely walk u through everything.

If it is your first time tanning at a salon, definitely start with a small dose of minutes at a time! You might burn fast if you already don't have a base tan! If you are just jumping in to the tanning biz, pale, start with like 6 minutes and then you can gradually go up in minutes. You can use an accelerator, but please, start slowly!!

it really is pretty easy........you put on tanning lotion and get into the bed or booth-----they will help you out at the salon if you have any questions or concers. i really did not know what to do when i first started going. some salons are more upscale than others, so it all depends on where you go.

You just go into this little well lit coffin thing and wait there for like 10-20 (10 if you've never done it) minutes with the little protective things on your eyes. They will probably sell you some tanning lotion too. I wish I'd asked this question, I was so confused when I tanned for my grad!

They will be happy to show you how to use whatever tanner you use, there are alot of styles. For the first few visits (especially the 3rd and 4th) don't over do it. The first 3 or so your melanin is coming up to the surface of the skin, then from there you will start to tan, slowly increase your minutes - if your skin is feeling very hot, chances are you are burning, just get out. DON'T BURN!

either in a bathing suit or naked and with tanning oil, not the tanning lotion because that messes up the bed.
