like how they take care of their kids, pacifiers after age 1, bottles after 1, etc. My bigest ones most days is that some kids don't respect their parents and parents that don't give their children every chance they have to be the best.

I don't really care what's going on behind closed doors or what the reason is, a large number of kids today don't have any respect for themselves, their parents, or others around them. It's a disgusting epidemic.

Parents who would have a FIT if their kid spoke to them with disrespect, but they'll let them speak to any other adult like they're total garbage. They don't care if they come and tear up your property, but if they did the same at home...they'd be in trouble. These same types of parents not only condone, but TELL their kids to throw litter on the ground, rather than in a trash can. It's a general lack of respect and responsibility I guess.

I also can't stand to see a kid completely over protected, or when a parent uses the kid as their adult confidant. The kid isn't supposed to take care of the parent.

It's none of your buisness how a parents raises their child. You don't know what really goes on. What's the matter w/ a 2 year old having a pacifier? Parents not giving their kids the best chance? Did they have a bad day at work? Were there kids absolutey terrible in the car? Don't say what you don't know. Focus on your own kids instead of asking stupid questions.

I simply hate it when the parents watch their children bullying other small ones and feeling proud of it. Other peeve is when they allow the children to throw a riproaring tantrum in a crowded supermarket. and after all that, rather than remove them from temptation they will give in. also when parents keep asking is my child too thin, too fat too something or the other and not believe when you disagree.

I have never been a parent but I still see things like ,
respect,
poor hygiene,
giving them a cookie instead of a nourishing meal
I have seen safety issues completely ignored.
allowing them to talk dirty
this list could go on forever, I think some parents just generally neglect kids in general.

parents assuming that other people watching their kid. I worked in a KNIFE store. All knives were behind the counter but this guy was so focused on my co-worker on a sale. His dad and both of us didn't notice the child went behind the counter. The child nearly grabbed a 6 inch knife by the blade. Thank goodness there was a cover on it.... Then we both got yelled at by the dad for not noticing...

I have no problems with pacifiers after age one, there is no need to traumatize a child by taking away a source of comfort to them ...If you don't like the way babies look with them in their mouths don't look. My pet peeve is parents who compare children, like it's a competition (my son is smarter than your's) as well as parents who compare children in their family, one sibling developed something faster than another sibling.

My biggest pet peeve is illustrated by most of the answers you have received from others--judging how other people raise their children. No one can decide what is best for your child but you.

I am all for breast feeding, and plan to do it myself, but I HATE when I see other women being judged for using formula. It's not your business!

Too many things to count.

Parents that leave their kids with their parents--the child's grandparent all the time.

Parents who aren't good role models.

Parents who have bad tempers.

Parents who don't have clean homes. [As in safe and hygienic not sparkling crystal.]

Parents who don't try their best with consistency.

Parents who choose convenience over actually parenting.

Parents who don't expect the best out of their kids or allow them to excel.

Parents who call their kids names--my MIL calls her stepson a brat or a jack-*** to his face. He's only seven.

Parents who really don't care about their kids.

I don't know I just don't think some people should be able to have kids. Many things bother me but I think what gets me most is parents who still act like kids.

I hate it when parents try to make their kids too perfect. Like the parents who send their kids to preschools where they are teaching like middle school stuff. Kids that young should be out playing, getting muddy, enjoying there childhood while they have it.
