I am not a doctor, and do not claim to be a doctor. I don't have any medical school training, although I was a biochemistry major in college. Because of that, you asking the question, no one may attempt to answer this question for fear of being sued for medical malpractice. I would accord my answer only the weight of a layman's understanding of medicine; it is not intended to be a diagnosis, and I accept no responsibility of any kind for any action you may deem to take by reading my answer.
H. pylori is a kind of bacteria that can infect the human large intestines, and causes many different kinds of disease like ulcers and inflammation. Ileitis is a kind of inflammation of the colon. You may also be experiencing a lot of symptoms, like nausea, weight loss, bloating, and pain wrought on by an ulcer caused by the bacteria. It appears you have some of this bacteria.
I can't say how to treat this bacteria and get rid of it, on treatment on a possible ulcer, but I suspect any competent doctor can handle it. Since you have one, great.

H-pylori is a bacteria ingested in contaminated food and water and is pretty common. It causes a lot of gastro-intestinal problems including pain and inflammation of the stomache and the bowel. It also causes ulcers and cancer. Prilosec is one of the medications that can be used as a treatment but there are several.
Your pathology report simply says that the lining of the stomache and the ileus(part of the small bowel) are inflammed. This means irritated, swollen, red and sore. The rest of the bowel seems alright. There is no sign of cancer at the time of the report. However you need treatment and then you need a follow up to see if the antibiotics actually worked. A stool sample can be used to check for existing H-pylori bacteria so you don't have to have another colonoscopy unless your doctor thinks you really need it. It looks like you had some inflammation in both your stomach and the last part of your small intestine (the part that hooks up to your large intestine).
The inflammation (which means irritation, swelling, possibly pain, and indicates the body's response to infection or irritation) might be due to an infection with the bacteria called Helicobacter pylori - it is a very simple thing to treat. H.pylori can cause gastritis (inflammation in the stomach lining) and sometimes stomach ulcers.
The inflammation in your ileum (#1 on your diagnosis) probably isn't too significant, but it might be something to follow-up on in the future.
You don't mention what kind of pain you're having. Its possible that it isn't related to or caused by the findings on your colonoscopy. Regardless, I wish you luck at getting to the bottom of it.

It appears to me that you have the bacteria H. pylori, that is thought to cause ulcers in some people. The first diagnosis looks to mean you have a mild chronic infection of the ileum. Could be the H. pylori. Talk to your new doc and tell him about pain you are having. Try to eat several small meals a day...dont let you stomach get empty. Dont drink caffinated drinks. Eat bland diet...nothing real spicy or greasy. But be sure to tell your new MD all of your symptoms, and if you do change your diet and it helps the pain, be sure he knows that.

well, I don't have my medical degree just yet, so I would say that this is really not the right place to ask a question like that. Find a good internist and show the results to him/her. Let your doctor be the judge.
