Get to know people you usually woundn't talk to for whatever shallow reason. Once you realize that they are human beings too you will be less shallow.

Look for the guys you've never noticed before, the quiet ones. Start talking to them. Trust me, they'll be pleasently surprised, and their opinion of you will be much higher.
