I have 2 users on this pc. I am administrator. In the other users log on everything is fine. When my log on first starts up the desktop appears then goes leaving only my background without bottom start bar. I`m using windows xp with sp2 . I am also running avg from start up. I`ve managed to get my desk top back but it will again go when i close pc. Also a "search web " page pops up and is permenantly on my start menu bottom bar. I feel its this pop up thats messed up my start up.

I had a friend that used AVG, I aggreed to look at her pc, when I took out her hard drive and put it in my pc, I ran a virus scan and found 8 viruses. You have to consider that this is a free software and you should be even more cautions when surfing using a program that you got for free.

Try contacting your internet provider, many of them now provide a whole suite free of charge that includes, antivirus, antispyware, and firewall programs...... Your ps has been infected with something, try logging on to the computer and running a virus scan, if you can, try to find an online scanner.

Hi go to the site below and run some of those programs. Sometimes adware or spyware infects a pc and does that. You can easily and safely remove it. Start by using Internet Explorer and go to http://www.trendmicro.com and run the free scan and removal there. It's not one of those trick sites that find stuff and then make you pay to remove it. They actually remove any pests for free. Then while that is scanning (Takes about 1 hour or so) go to site below and read that

purchase a inner/exterior USB hub [ round $20 for 6 ports]whichever you want...[in my opinion i might want to wish an inner one as exterior is a few extra mess you know] examine your computing gadget for an further PCI slot, in case you want an inner one...otherwise exterior one will use one in each of your USB to get linked. That the purely way develop your usb ports/... i'm no longer attentive to the different attitude to doing it...sturdy luck
