I was just surfin the net & read an article that seroquel can alter, mess up your sugar levels wether you are hypo or hyperglycemic. Have you heard this? I truly believe it cuz I've been going through hell since I started seroquel 25mg, 1 time a day for anxiety, & can't maintain my sugar level. Bottomed out to 27 yesterday, had to call EMS. Not on insilin. Is this stuff safe?

Seroquel and Zyprexa both can effect sugar levels and it is a poos choice of medication anyway for someone with anxiety. There are far better alternatives without such risks associated with them. The SSRI's are much safer and trazedone can be helpful to most people if falling asleep is the issue. The benzo's are very effective, but addicting and not really recommended for long term or regular use. Klnopin and Ativan are the best if you need a benzo to control symptoms.

My doctor makes me get regular tests for sugar levels and diabetes, so yes it does, just start monitoring your sugar levels, and keep a bottle of juice and some animal crackers on hand, if you feel yourself dipping have some. I'm on seroquel, wellbutrin, zoloft and clonazapam. Yes they are all prescribed by the same psychiatrist, and yes I really am that crazy.
