so i started going out with a new guy, everything was fantastic, things were moving pretty quickly. very quickly, actually, i guess maybe too quickly.

so i stayed over at his apartment this weekend, and in his bedroom he still has pictures of him and his ex-girlfriend around in frames. they broke up in november. and what's even weirder is that he has a contact case & solution on his nightstand, and he doesn't wear contacts, so i'm assuming they were hers. again, they broke up in november, and he's a neat freak, so i know it's not like he didn't notice them.

this is a bad sign, isn't it? should i say something? is it even worth saying something?

I think it is worth mentioning.... If he is a neat freak and never moved them then he may be hanging to the idea of being with her again. He might have a good reason for it, but then again, if he doesn't then now is a good time to find that out too....

My mother-in-law kept my husbands ex-wife's picture up in her house even after I married her son. When she was asked to take it down by my husband she was surprised that it was even an issue.... Some people just don't think about that stuff.

Good luck finding out what is really going on inside his head....

Having been married to an extreme neat freak, I can tell you first hand that the contact case and solution haven't just been laying around collecting dust. I don't keep pictures around of any ex. There's a reason for that. Think about how you dust your framed pictures that you keep. You deserve better than that. You will always be #2 in his eyes. He is keeping her around by keeping her things around. If the solution is still in the contact case and hasn't dried up, best guess is that she is still around. Get out while you can and find someone that will make you his #1.

I would end it or you are just going to listen to his stupid excuses, fall in love with him and then be very hurt when he confesses through his tears that he has never stopped loving his ex.

I think he is trying too hard to move on.
The first step after breaking up and it is a hard one is packing up all their belongings and removing their pictures from your house and room.
Sorry but he isn't there yet!

You should tell him whatever you feel. Relationships are supposed to be open. If you feel that he's reminiscing over his ex too much, he needs to know that, and you need to tell him. If he really cares, he'll listen.

Good luck!

This is a very bad sign. Don't bother. Move on - he hasn't.
