I paid $130 for a bottle of Sam Adams Utopias (actually, I bought two of them). After that, I paid $12 for a bottle of Samichlaus.

I've seen Corsendonk for over $100 a bottle, of course the bottle was as tall as me, and meant to serve many drinkers.
I've personally spent $12 for a bottle of Framboise Lambic on New Year's eve, always hated champagne, so had to order a good beer.
I have spent close to that a few times for other lambics for special occassions. And if given the choice of a $1 Bud or a twenty dollar Sam Adams, I would throw the twenty down and be much happier for it.

I once paid out over $2,000.00 because of a bottle of dang beer. I had wandered into a seedy looking bar on Burbon street about 4 years ago and ordered up a cold beer. next thing I knew there was a skanky looking broad sliding up to me at the bar wanting me to buy her a drink. She had to be 55 years old, to much makeup and bad breath -- so of course I said yes and then the bartender told me that my beer was $7.50 and her dang drink was $13.50! Me being a gentelman i ponied up $13.50 for her drink but I told the bartender to take that bottle of Dixie beer and shove it up his @ss. I only remember seeing a hand as big as a basketball coming towards my face, then I woke up in the back of a police car. By the time I finished paying the fines and court costs it cost me almost exactly $2,000.00 -- but that included a free one night stay with breakfast at the New Orleans graybar hotel. I wish that whole damn town had been washed away...

like 8$ a pint at a concert. luckly i knew beer was going to be that much like almost 2mo. before the show. i got drunk on the way up with a bottle of jack (i wasnt driving). i also had time to save up. i just skipped going out a few times and saved my cash for the show. also had a huge doob. =)
