Its been three months, ended on good terms. Too late to ask for a letter of recomendation?

No, i would go for it.....most people are pretty understanding, and if you need a letter of recomendation you should ask your last employer....3 months isn't THAT long

No it is not too late. I have asked professors for letters of recommendations a good year after leaving their class. You ended on good terms, I'm sure your ex-boss will do it for you.
