Dogs like to use the same spots they have always used. He will still use all of his spots inside or out unless you remove the smell of his or other dogs waste.

For the spots in the house... I recommend Simple Solutions. I by it in a concentrate so that it lasts a long time. This is an enzyme cleaner... which means that it will eat the source of the odor and leave nothing behind for your dog to smell (unlike some other brands that just mask the odor and your dog will still use that spot).

Once you have removed the odor then I would recommend having your dog play, eat, or sleep in that area. Dogs don't usually go to the bathroom in places that they use for other things.

If your dog is still lifting his leg on things inside the house I would try putting aluminum foil on those things... this will cause his urine to splash back at him which he will find unpleasant and should cause him to stop (with some redirection from you when you catch him starting to go take him outside right away)

If his scent is there you have a good possibility that he will continue to urinate there. There are several brands of spray solution on the market specifically designed for this. One's like Resolve work well for me, but for the really tough spots that they keep going back to, I made up some solutions at home that work well, one is vinegar and water (don't use on dark colored carpet or do a test spot first), the other is ground chyanne pepper in water. Just about a teaspoon of either to a pint of water should do the trick. Spray it on and leave it on. The scent overrides their scent for them and it is unplesant for them as well. Hope it helps.
