my dad is building a house so i'm doing this from scratch. i've already thought of the color of the walls {{a grayish purplish bluish...one of those colors where you look at it and ask "is that gray or blue or purple?"}} and i'm thinking of painting my floor a dark purple and having people sign it with a metallic sharpie, and hanging CD's over my room shiny part out. but i still feel like even if i do all that, i'm still missing something. i still have my medium sized walk in closet, powder room, and bathroom to decorate as well. I like funky stuff {{as you can probably tell}}, except i DONT like posters. I'm open to a lot of ideas though, so please help!!

It sounds awesome so far! I think what you are missing is an accent color - something to really contrast and pop off all that purple and metallic. Maybe hot pink or fuchsia. Throw in little bits of it - pillows, lampshades, that sort of thing.
You could always make your own artwork. Start with a black canvas and do a reverse Jackson Pollack type piece - use neon colors and splash them across the canvas. You can't go wrong with this - it looks good no matter what. Then you can mount black lights over it to get a really funky look.
It sounds like you are really off to a great start!

get a canopy for your bed
a computer desk (get a whit one ang throw gobs of paint at it to make it look cool)
get shades for ur windows ike the ones in school , you can draw , paint or stick stickers on them
get crayolas window markers, you can color or draw on your windows and mirrors
get the chalkboard paint and paint a wall with it, then you will be able to use your wall as a chalk board!

I love to paint. You could buy a huge canvas that is boxed in and make a huge "mural" that you could take with you when you move. Theres an idea
