There are three advantages. 1 - Cost, 2- Cost, 3 - Cost
There is no good economic reason to use a stronger fiber.

fiber glass is cheap...& easy to repair..

carbon fiber/ Kevlar are harder to repair are lighter & are stronger
there is also often a cooking prosess in the space age materials..so you need an oven big enough to take the parts your making....
