Wicca, in particular, is a non-prosyletizing religion -- for the most part, we leave people alone and ask to be left alone in turn. Many Wiccans believe that all religions are valid paths to the Divine (and that atheism and agnosticism are also honorable perspectives), so there's just not a lot of urgency for us to go running around converting other people to our faith.
Many of us love to discuss religion. We will correct misinformation where we see it. We will share information if asked. But no Wiccan is EVER going to show up on your doorstep, or on a streetcorner, telling you to join us or go to Hell (which we don't believe in anyway).

Because most peoples of religions feel it is incumbent upon them to do so. I am the same way, so there is no room for contradiction. I am islamic, but I don't force the religion on peoples. I gester subtle and not so subtle hints of what one should do. Like not to eat pork. That they should pick up the quran and read it sometime. But I can still bugg out like the rest. I just won't indulge in all the things that others do. I am 24 and converted at 19. So, my lifestlyle before that is still in my veins. I just don't go to clubs anymore, don't drink, don't do any stimulants, and believe in allah. PEACE!

usually because they haven't thought enough about the things they preach to realize that there more holes in their beliefs than they could possibly believe. The bible makes people do any say crazy things. amazing that the words of a group of old dead guys that were, in some cases crazier than them, can make people throw away reason and science in favor of blind faith in something unprovable.
Not everything is in the bible. if i make up a story about something, it wont be true 5000 years from now. this is the case with the bible.
Just because you believe something doesn't make it true

Some do, and others respect other peoples beliefs. The ones who do are usually taught that way. It depends on what religion you're referring to.

i could choose to show out which you stated Islam is a "historical" faith, while actually Islam is extra recent than Christianity (they admire human beings of the e book- Christians and Jews). 2d, some human beings choose evidence to have faith something, and others are comfortable with faith. It would not make the two team stupid or sensible or real or incorrect (provided that fairly no person may be sure) it in simple terms makes them distinctive. interior the tip we are all going to die and in spite of happens, be it something or no longer something will ensue.

I could ask the same thing of atheists! preaching is really letting me know what you think good morals or truths are. Don't atheists do this?
everybody preaches, even you. you just did by inferring that it was wrong to press my beliefs on you...

Depends on the religion. Christians are actually told to do that by their bible.

The Bible tells us believers to spread the good news to others so they won't face eternal damnation, something that is often mocked and ridiculed, especially in movies and tv. If a child is about to burn his hand on a hot stove, wouldn't you tell him to "get away from the stove"? He might laugh at you, but once his hand gets burned, he will know you were telling him the truth.
