taking penicilin and (8) hours having a drink, would it kill the effects?.

If the pharmacy put a warning on the bottle saying no alcohol while taking the medicine, it is best to do just that. The major problem with mixing the two is that it often makes people sick (upset stomach.) Antibiotics can make you nauseaus by themselves, so adding alcohol may make it worse.

Of course, I drink sometimes on antibiotics, and it's never been a problem for me.

Mixing penicillin and alcohol won't kill you--you won't OD. BUT, if you take penicillin and drink alcohol, the alcohol causes the penicillin to lose its effect. So, better not to drink until the medicine is all gone.

You shouldnt drink or have any alchohol in your system when taking any antibiotics. you should wait 24 before taking the medication.
