I am bulimic because I think I am really fat. I've been bulimic for about a year now and when I first started I went from being 132 pounds to 119 and I felt great. Sort of.Then I got help and gained all my weight back and I am somewhere from 130-135 lbs. I am 1 15 year old athlete. I think I'm fat and I think I look fat. I just want to feel good about myself and the only way I can do that is to stop throwing up. Any tips or anyone who shares the same problem as I do?

Also, I rarely binge. I just throw up what I eat. Is that still considered being bulimic?

Yes, yes, and yes. I used to be the same exact way. Did you know that you have a chance of death EVERY time you throw up? How would you feel if you lost your life to body image? How would your family/friends react? Isn't there more to life than that? Since when did you let the critisizing voice in your mind take control of your lifestyle?
I have gained like 10 more pounds than my original --and healthy--weight beginning. It only got worse as time went by. What I suggest? STOPPING. I had many attempts at stopping, even for months at a time of no purging, but then it would only come back. I am now free of any purging.
Your weight is perfectly healthy--and attractive--for your height. Don't compare yourself to toothpick celebrities.
Learn to LOVE yourself.
What do you love about yourself?
Would you really let an eating disorder destroy that?
Not only do they lower your confidence, but they make you moody towards others. The guilt..the anger..sadness.....everything that thrives in an eating disorder...it will TEAR YOU DOWN unless you stop now.
I look back now and realize everything I did was selfish. If I would've died from bulimia, (which happens even after only a month of someone purging at times)) it would've affected everybody around me and that wouldn't have been fair.
You think it won't happen to you? Do some research.
Sorry i'm being so blunt, but I wish somebody would've told this to me much earlier. I wish you the best of luck.

Yes, it's still considered being bulimic.
You know this is bad for you. You can absolutely wreck your body doing this...but gee, maybe you'll have a nice thin corpse. Of course, your teeth will be eaten away by stomach acid.
GO GET MORE HELP. I'm not being a jerk. Much. Really.
You are more than whatever number comes up on the scale. You can't tie your self-worth to that number. Please get back into treatment and BE HONEST with them.

This is a very difficult problem and is very complex. Personally, I would seek out professional help and get evaluated. There are treatment modalities that can really help you but cannot be found on this forum. A psychiatrist may be the first step. Good luck on your road to recovery.
