It's no secret that many girls date and or marry older guys. However, I have noticed in the past few years that many younger girls (18-21) will not even look at older guys. For instance, on this episode of Blind Date that I watched, this pretty (and sheltered) 21 year old blonde from LA went on a date with a mellow (and mature) 28 year old guy. In the end, things didn't work out and the girl said that she wanted to date someone who didn't have "experience" like her (which is a completely stupid reason) in the dating field. Anyway, I noticed that many girls still claim that they will date older guys, but I'am seeing otherwise. It seems that many girls are now viewing older guys as creeps or too much like "their dad" (even if they are only 2 years older than them). So what is REALLY going on here?

I dated a guy that was 29 when I was 19. I thought that by dating a guy that was older that he would be more mature--this was not the case. I learned this when I received the good ole drunk dial saying that he was with his brothers at the bar...then I realized he was not referring to his biological brothers, but rather those from his college fraternity. He had been out of college for 7 years! Sometimes I think older guys date younger girls because they just don't want to grow up. A difference of a few years is OK, but I'm always leary of way older guys now. Ironically, I'm dating a guy 2.5 years younger than me now and he's probably the most mature I've dated and up untill this point I've only dated older guys...

Stuff like this really comes down to how the guy makes the girl feel. I can see the instrance where these older guys are kinda "creepy" and dating younger girls. Lets face it...there is usually a reason a mature guy is still single. Whether it be intimacy problems, focus on career, etc. I would say, work on learning the emotional needs of a woman no matter what age of the woman and the relationship will flourish.

I haven't really noticed that. I would still prefer a somewhat older guy , not more than 5 years older right now (I'm 22) Younger guys don't really appeal to me (except my bf, he's 3 months younger!) A possible explanation is some of those girls are not looking for something serious, and the guy's maturity is not an important factor. Older guys are often more relationship ready and stable, and not all girls want that.

I'm not a teenager anymore but I live with a man 9 years my senior. I'm 38 and he's 47. I was married to a BOY for 12 years and always dated boys. I never knew there was such a huge difference in a boy and a man. I always thought they were one in the same. The stability and experience of life he has is wonderful. He has made me so much more aware of what life has to offer than I had ever imagined. He's just as ornery as I am and doesn't look his age. And he's built better than most 20 year olds that I know. He is a wonderful man that I am proud of to have met. Most girls want boys so they can control them. I am a woman and want and need a man to experience life to it's fullest. And YES I DO KEEP HIM YOUNG AT HEART !

Meh. i be attentive to your situation. don't worry, he's in simple terms a year older. in simple terms provide him your form, get to be attentive to him slightly, and undergo in suggestions which you at the instant are not obligated to do something. whilst i replaced right into a freshman, I dated a junior for a on an analogous time as, and there replaced into no intercourse or rigidity there. 2 years later, we nonetheless communicate. not ALL adult adult males are an analogous...or maybe this is in simple terms me it somewhat is diverse, who knows? suggestions telling me the secret to asserting "no" whilst they ask you to your form? i in simple terms can't verify a thank you to do it precise. :]
