I did not belive it was right so i am now trying to make up for that. What kind of things should i include in this letter? he does not know anything about his grandson besides that he has one also i would like some cute ideas on how to write it.

annie i have already talked to people (including my ex) He wants no communication with his father because his father tried to force him to save money and stay on a clean street while my ex wanted to do drugs (wich he still does) and wanted to blow his money where he wanted to spend it. (he still does that he don't even pay his child support wich is 19 dollars a week.)

Would you be willing to get a baby book and fill it out for the grandfather. That way he can use it as a brag book. And you can copy your favorite pictures. Even pictures your son may have drawn. The book is great because he can handle it more and get information in a format, saving you time.

Grandparents every where are thanking you. You a real great person to think about him.

Try not to say to much about his son.( He knows what he is all about and this is about his grandson. And express your feelings about your son and the future you hope they can have. How nice to have man in your sons life that does not use drugs. That will be wonderfull for your son.

If this man has no idea that he has a grandson, I'd save the cute for future letters. He's going to be stunned to find out I'm sure, so I'd keep the letter rather low-key. Explain the circumstances to him and let him know how much your son has missed having a grandfather's influence in his life. Tell him you hope the two of them can meet someday. Tell him a lot about your son and toss in a few photos. I'd wind it up by giving him your phone number and telling him how much you hope to hear from him. Then, I'd leave it alone. The ball will be in his court.

You could include pictures and information about what the child likes and dislikes. If the child talks some of the funny things he/she says or has said. Maybe a video tape would be cool so he can see and hear the baby with his own eyes.

Go to walgreens and buy some pretty and fancy paper. Scan a picture of his grandson at the top of the letter and then type your paper.
Apoligize to him and start by telling him all about his grandson.

Its likely that there is a good reason that your Ex did not communicate with his dad.
My ex's dad molested & raped children for decades!!!! And, most of his kids do and did still talk to him. Serriously, you do not know these people and I don't understand why you would want to 'go there'.

Leave it alone.
