That's a good question. I have never had a real cavity, but I had some minor erosion. My dentist said it was possible that it happened when I started sharing germs with my wife and some different bacteria moved in.

No. You get cavities all by yourself. It helps to clean your teeth after meals, when possible,
regular dental checkups, flossing. You can't get cavities from anyone else.

No, cavities are caused by sugar. Especially sugar in liquids such as cokes. Also candy is horrible for your teeth.

WHILE IT'S IMPOSSILE TO PICK UP CAVITIES FROM OTHERS, THE SAME CANNOT BE SAID OF OTHER BACTERIA, ESPECIALLY THOSE INVLVING GUM DISEASE.
PERIODONTAL DISEASE CAN BE TRANSFERED TO A MATE, ESPECIALLY IF THE MATE'S IMMUNE SYSTEM IS ALREADY WEAKENED BY A LACK OF PROPER DENTAL HYGIENE.
