I am writing a leter to my son's grandfather on his dads side. My ex (sons father) when i was with him refused to alow me to communicate with his father. I did not belive it was right so i am now trying to make up for that. What kind of things should i include in this letter? he does not know anything about his grandson besides that he has one also i would like some cute ideas on how to write it.

Not trying to put a damper on your parade, but maybe your ex had a really good reason for not wanting grandpa around your son.
Reasons so awful that your ex could not express?
Did your ex ever explain why?
Also don't you think it would cause added friction to your relationship with your son's father after he finds out what you did?

I would send him a brief letter letting him know that his son would allow you no contact with him and just tell him you have a son include information about your son, age education level if any, hobbies etc and include many pictures of him from different age levels.

I would just make it short and sweet. Send a picture of your son and tell the grandfather that you would welcome contact if he desires it. You can sort everything else out later. He may later have other questions, such as why you had not contacted him before, and you can answer those later.

I'd let him know that you want him in your sons life, and let him know that any/all contact options are open.
