It means that he trusted you as you go on. It depends if he's liking is more of than the ordinary, is it more than friendly but short of being more than friendly? Maybe he liked you because he find a lot of qualities that he never seen in others and maybe simply because you also show that you like him in return.

im not totally sure that i understand your question cuz if someone likes you for 2 years then it means they really like you and are serious about wanting to date you. you should talk to them and tell em how you feel weather or not you feel the same way towards them. good luck

it means that they really find something interesting about you... i had a guy like me for 2 years... the first time he tried to get with me i thought he was the biggest dork ever....life went on.. he dated other girls, i dated other boys... then, one summer, he changed his hair, his clothes, got contacts and beefed up a bit and whoa! insta-hottie.... and luckily, he still liked me... he had really never stopped, just didn't ever see the chance that we would ever work out... and we dated.. for 2 years.. it was the best relationship of my life and i regret that i screwed it up....
