Go to your local shelter! You may not find a little wiggly puppy, but there are lots of great adult dogs that deserve a loving home. Besides, adult dogs don't need to be spayed or neutered (shelters have that done before the dog is adopted out), they don't go through teething, and they're already house trained. :)

I don't know if there are any sites, but if you want a specific dog breed, you could check the breed rescues in your area...or your local animal shelter.

Go to your local dog shelter. You can find some good dogs or puppies there. I have gotten all of my dogs from one and they have been very good dogs.
