The difference between being in love with someone and loving them is that when you're in love with someone, they must love you back, and when you just love someone, they don't have to love you back. So it''s pretty much like Husband/Wife versus 13-year-old-girl/Her Crush. Get it? :-)

Being in love is more like boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife but loving someone could be a friend, brother, sister, parent, aunt, uncle, etc.

think of it this way... a mother is in love with her child... she will do any thing for that child.. & the child grows and most of the time will do anything for their mother...but loving someone is like loving a photograph... you can put your heart & soul into it... you can devote hours to it, take it every where, and tell you that you love it.... but that picture will never love you back
