I was wondering over that. I've bought stuff off line many times and a few of the stores didn't charge my card, instead started me an account on there website and gave me an $1000.00 limit. To me that seems crazy for a minor. At the time I was 16 (only a year older now.) Is all of this legal? I'm not having problems with it, I just ignored the limits and payed what I owed. Thanks for your time!

Nope. I never saw anything that even suggested that. And I've gone over and over the site and they never ask you. They just asume.

I would imagine that at some point in the application process you had to click on something that stated that the applicant (you) were over 18, or it states so somewhere in the credit contract you agreed to. If so, the company may be protected against liability since you knowingly lied on the application.

no
but then if you have a credit card then it's under your parent master account and so therefore any charges you ring up and they ( your parent will be liable )
it's probably the same with the website
