If she is your best friend, she will be happy that you are doing something that will make you happy. She will miss you, but that is life, people move on. Your friendship doesn't have to end.

I have this problem, im hoping to go into the army soon and my best friend keeps saying i cant do it, because i wont be there for her or able to talk to her and she will never see me!
You should reassure her that you will be in touch as often as you can and tell her that this is your dream, if she is as close as you say she will support you in the end anyway.
Just remember that this is your life, and you cant put it on hold for anybody, because whilst you should consider other people in your life, its always going to be about you, and you dont want to be unhappy because you'll never be able to please everyone!
Good luck =)

joining mariens will not hurt you, it hurt you if you go to infantry or any other front line jobs, but usually women dont go to front lines.
tell her that you are serving your country, and if she dont like that she is anti american, ( bit too far?)
or tell her that you will be in rear of the line, and is fine and ok, they treat you good and feed you good ( only marines good for, the food) so ok ish.
