I"m going to hawaii in april and i'm 19. Some people have told me that the drinking age is 18 and others say 21 soooo now i just have no idea! Anybody know what it is?

J.L. Picard is incorrect on one point. Yes, the drinking age is 21 in Hawaii ... however it is not a federal law. Liquor laws are regulated by state ... although the feds have twisted their arm by threatening to withhold highway funds from any state that refuses to comply with the 21 age, and the .08 legal blood alcohol limit.

When I was growing up, the states all had different ages, and Hawaii's was 18. It changed in the late 80s.

The legal drinking age in Hawaii is 21 just like the rest of the US.

The national drinking age is 21. It's federal law, not state by state.
