First of all he failed his drug test for MARIJUANA not a performance enhancing drug such as steroids. IMO he SHOULD NOT be suspended because if anything pot would slow him down, which is why he WILL be suspended because THC stays in your system for 30-60 days so the Neveda State Athletic Commision doesn't know when the drug was ingested and will assume that he was high during or before the fight meaning that Diaz was indangering himself by fighting. So he will be suspended for 6 months (just today the NSAC suspended a boxer for 6 months for the same infraction). But that doesn't really matter because he wont be able fight for at least 6 months anyways because in the fight he broke his right orbital bone (the bone below the eye socket) so he wouldnt be cleared to fight until late August or September.

Nick Diaz is on a long medical suspension by the Nevada Athletic Commission anyway...either way he's suspended so it doesn't matter much! I'm not for what he did, but it's not like he tested positive for some sort of illegal enhancement drug! Nick Diaz kicks *** but damn that guy needs to control himself...I read about how he threw a shoe an Diego Sanchez in the locker room once...that's funny!

Nick Diaz passes the try's becasue he quit smoking weeks or months in strengthen so he can bypass the drug try. They Do try for Marijuana and Diaz is with the help of no means the only fighter ever to be busted Diego sanchez and Bellator 145lbs champ Joe Warren have the two examined advantageous for THC and Ricco Rodriguez, James Irvin and Karo parysian have all examined advantageous for different entertainment drugs.

Yes. It will make MMA look bad if they let him continue to fight.

However I think Nick Diaz should be throw out of MMA sport for life. He's a horrible role model, have absolutely no class, and a embarassement for the sport most of the time. Awful person in MMA overall, probably the worse person next to Bobby Hoffman.

whether or not he has a medical suspension or not rules are rules and if he broke them he should be punished accordingly after his med.suspesion ends.same goes for what type of drug it was it doesnt matter he knew the rules.i'm not saying i agree with a blanket rule on drugs but if you break the rules you pay the penalty.

hes already on medical suspension for his broken orbital bone ouch. extending that with a pot suspenstion would seem unnecassary since hes gonna be out a while regardless.
