Isn't it kinda funny that when someone posts a question looking for "Christian" answers that mostly non-christians actually answer... This girl posted a question titled the same as this one and she got so many non-Christian responses.

I just found that interesting and thought I'd share.

Point 1: This is yahoo answers, which means more people than just 'Christians' are on these boards, and can post and respond.

Point 2: Many Christians post in threads and topics that are clearly seeking answers other than that of a Christian perspective. Not only that, they post answers of little merit other than to prostelytize. Just as 'Christians' (if you are not like the ones I am referring to, then this does not apply) get upset when non-believers post 'heretical' answers, so too do atheists get upset at Christians who step into 'threads' and simply regurgitate doctrine for doctrine's sake. Thus an 'eye for an eye' mentality is created.

The rules of YA allow posters a vast amount of freedom, so that the questioner has the widest net of possible answers to choose from. Christians, atheists, or anyone in general, who doesn't want to play with people of different faiths and backgrounds have the option of going elsewhere.

I have noticed this as well. ...And not only here. There are many Christian Websites where there are message boards or chat rooms - and here comes the troll just itching for a flame war.

It was the same way with Christ, you know? The people were drawn to Him in droves - all with wounded hearts, wounded bodies, and wounded lives. They came seeking hope for their hopelessness, and Jesus was there for them.

But then there were the ones who were so sure about their lives - their place in the world - their own intellectual or religious superiority - and they came to ridicule and condemn our Lord.

The people who encountered Him either loved Him, or wanted to kill Him. It hasn't changed.

Somehow, it offends some of those who do not know the love of Christ, to be presented with Someone or 'something' that is superior to them or their understanding.

It's like the perspective of two men.
The non-Christian is like the one who stands on a cold deserted street at night in the rain and cries out how lonely it is in a world with no warmth, no light, no people, no food, and no hope of his situation changing...
While the other man is like the Christian, and he stands on the other side of the wall in a warm, well lit restaurant full of friends and family - fully satisfied.

The non-Christain will never know the joy and peace we have found, until they come to the cross themselves. ...And many will fight coming to Jesus their whole lives. The will never know the miracles we see.... The comfort we have found...

All we can do is remember Galatians 5:22-26 and keep showing love and not allowing ourselves to be "superior" or hateful in retort - shaming our God.

Peace to you, hon. --De

If I'm looking for Christian answers then I'm probably going to pick a Christian answer as Best Answer. So if you want to post your opinion go ahead, but you know what I'm looking for.

Actually, I was just about to go over to "Cars and Transportation" for a bit. Just to look at a few questions that are asked, really wanting a true answer and a few answerers that are really answering the question.

I agree. When I see a question posted specifically for atheists,or agnostics,Muslims etc...I do not answer. I may occasionally look at the question out of curiosity, but out of respect for the questioner..I stay out of it.

I have learned to always read the entire question and then use my commons sense to answer or not. Everyone isn't going to always be honest.
