Depends. Factors are the size of your lungs, your lung capacity, and how much breath you waste(less when your calm). Average is about 3 minutes but some people as long as about 10

Just to clarify some previous answers, pearl divers, who are highly trained and experienced in holding their breath underwater can hold their breath for up to 2.5 minutes.
The longest most people can hold their breath underwater is 1 minute. After that you start to drown.

humans can not go more than 3 minutes without air without passing out, and after 30 min (in case you drowned) brain damages begin.

Try if u wanna get urself drowned.
Otherwise u can experiment by holding ur breath and keep a count of how long u can hold it.
It varies from person to person.
