Ladies if you had a new boyfriend would you still keep in contact with your ex. My ex and I broke up 9 months ago. The last time we spoke was 5 months ago. Sunday she called me and we spoke for an hour or so. Even though she blocked her number. I just dont know how to get her back and if she wants me back as her boyfriend. We broke up previously because of a long distance relationship. Should I persue her slowly or close the door for good. This is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with.

Well, what was your conversation like? Someone that you had any kind of intense or long term relationship with is a big part of your life - good or bad. The fact that she's called you again is a positive sign but it doesn't mean she necessarily wants to get back together. She could miss your friendship. If she didn't leave a number for you, then chances are she was just checking up on you or feeling a bit melancholy. If you know of another way to get ahold of her, you could follow up by letting her know that you really enjoyed talking with her on Sunday and you hope your next conversation won't be another five months from now. Never close the door for good unless you've decided it's a relationship you don't want to have. Are you in a situation now that has resolved since you broke up? If you are still long distance then trying to get back together may not be much of an option. Do your best to get the friendship back first and then if she's responding positively, let her know that you still want her romantically. Hope this helps.

In the situation that you've described, the only way I'd keep in contact with an ex is if I still had an interest in him. Understand though that some people don't like to close doors completely just in case the current interest doesn't work out. If you have strong feelings for her, you might wish to pursue it. If the distance was an issue it will be an issue again unless one of you decide to move.

i think you should move on. There was a reason you broke up. Do you honestly think that 9mo. apart will make you guys get over the distance?? it might have but still let her go, find something better
