Hi; I'd just like to know more about the logic of christians. If Jesus is God and God is Jesus then did Jesus beget Jesus? Then if that's true then Jesus, the son, had sex with his mother Mary.

they are distinct persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. They are of "one mind" in complete unity, but they are separate and have different "functions"

seriously, have you ever considered thinking at a level higher than 3rd grade?

Jesus and God the Father are two persons in the Trinity. So logically, the Son comes from the Father. Mary did not have intercourse until after she was married, when she gave birth to Joseph's sons and daughters. When Jesus' body grew in Mary's womb, it was the result of God creating the 23 other chromosomes to complete the "zygote", rather than implanting a sperm.

"the seed of the woman". In Biblical times, a "seed" was always the child of a man. Seed of woman = no sperm involved.

goodness, and people accuse Christians of saying stupid things...

Jesus, God, and the Holy spirit are all in unity as one. God is manifested into three forms. Just like water. Water is H2o no matter what. But it can be liquid, solid, or gas, but still be the same thing. Jesus did not have sex with his mother. He was sinless and pure man. and she was a virgin. She was with child by the holy spirit, God given.

I hope and pray that you can understand this better, and grasp the concept of Jesus Christ and what He is, and what He did for us. He died for you so that you could have the opportunity to spend an eternity with Him. I hope you will one day make the decision to allow Him into your life as your personal Lord and Savior.

With Love,

Kristi

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit make up the Trinity. Mary is the virgin mother of Jesus...... Now go back to your little padded cell with the guys dressed in white where its nice and peaceful.

Jesus is not God. Jesus is God's Son. (John 10:36) Jehovah is the Most High. (Ps. 83:18) At John 17:3, he is called the only true God.

All this confusion came about because of the trinity doctrine. According to the trinity, 3 co-equal, co-eternal persons make up God. The Bible says nothing about that. Churchgoers just listen to their preachers tell them that God is his own Son, and they hear it so much that it actually makes sense to them! They will not investigate the truth for themselves.

you are showing your ignorance of the Trinity. The Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost each have different "job" functions. There is One God manifested in three persons just as the one egg has three parts (yoke, white and shell). It was the Holy Spirit who created Christ in Mary's virgin womb. Not the Father and not the Son. The Father is God, The Son is God, The Holy Spirit is God --- one in essence, purpose and will but different from each other in title, work and manifestation.

He was the only begotton of the Father.

Both the Father and Son are personages or manifestations of the one God. However, the Father and the Son are not the same person. Not alogical, not illogical,..just difficult to understand....now do you get it....don't worry, most people are in the same boat.

think of the trinity(or God-head) as 1x1x1 not 1+1+1

Some "true" christians claim that Jesus is God. Other "true" christians dispute this, and claim that Jesus is Son of God, not God. Since they cannot both be true statements, it is safe to say that christians cannot agree amongst themselves who exactly they are worshipping when they worship Jesus. This division results in the inability to trust either statement as "true". If "Christians" cannot agree on the truth of their own scripture, how can anyone else? They all use different statements from the same scripture to back up their claim to the truth, yet both sides claim that the entire bible is true. (They also rely heavily on personal interpretation, even though the bible itself expressly prohibits the "private" interpretation of scripture.) The only time they unite is when someone claims that, since both cannot be true, perhaps neither is true.

No, one God but three divine persons.

The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Spirit is God; however, the Father is not the Son or the Spirit, the Son is not the Father or the Spirit, and the Spirit is not the Father or the Son.
