When I read the TIme magazine, I am really amazed of how the people who work in time write well. I didn't imagine that there was that kind of technique. They are all open- minded people. They are professionals. I would like to write decently . How cn I be more open- minded? THey write articles that engage the reader 100%. I can't imitate them right?

Open-mindedness is not all it's claimed. Discretion and wise judgment are far better than ignorant open-mindedness.

As far as writing goes, that just takes practice, education and more practice.

Again, use educated sound judgment rather than open-mindedness regarding important issues. Don't trust just anyone. Prove the source. Try the facts by the crucible of truth.

Read alot and practice writing.
By reading alot you could get different ideas and learn different perspectives. Just continue practicing your writing skills. it is not bad to copy the Times' writers' style of writing, but learn to develop it from there.

Did you know that some filipino writers who were later recognized world wide started as copycats of american writers? But from there, they had eventually develop their own styles of writing and become known.

happy writing!
Hope this helps.
:)
