Not just WWII, but all wars affect peoples' minds...families, soldiers, and friends of soldiers included. Some of them get so affected that they shoot themselves, become physchopaths or even sociopaths because they don't know how to deal with the trauma. My grandpa was in WWI and my grandma was a nurse in WWII and she had to deal with him going to therapy, going blind, and getting Parkinsons', along with my dad and his sister.

If you need a source for this just list it as common knowledge.

Good luck with whatever your doing (a paper, maybe? I have one due before spring break (March 16th) poo, lol)

Most soldiers wanted to serve in WWII and the public back home was behind them. Unlike Vietnam where we lost the war in a board room and not on a battlefield. Same comparisons have been made for this current situation in the middle east.

Contact Veteran's Affairs and ask for the detailed statistics from the Post War reports.
