im doing a science poject im going to do a wind powered generator but i dont know what motors will work

Any type of electric motor will generate electricity when turned. The bigger it is (probably) the more electricity it will generate. Make sure it's electric, not gas powered.

A plain old automobile alternator should work fine. You can get one from the junk yard and use a pulley/fan belt system to get it to spin faster.
