Well...my friend has been acting akward recently. He used to be dating my best friend and when I told him that he still likes her he usually pauses by typing, "..........."
Although I just mess around with him sometimes he gets offensive with it and tells me to shut up. He recently got a new girlfriend anyway, and I just play around with him as usual and I told him one day.
"Awww you have a new girlfriend? I bet you still like your ex!"
and he just says, "........"
What does he actually mean by those dots?

Oh btw it wasnt right in front of his girlfriend. Im close friends with him. I just joke around like that....and this was on the messenger.

And no this is about me bugging him about it. We've known each other since the second grade and it isn't like he cares. Infact, he's said the same to me when I left my boyfriend. It isn't so much that hes annoyed because I tell him its just a joke anyway.

Dear Star,
He probably means to say " Mind Your Own Business" and types blank because he may be trying to spare the act of hurting your feelings. This subject really is no one else business but his. Nor is it the former girlfriend"s. He has every right to pick and choose with whom he associates with. Why the two broke up in the first place is still no one Else's business. I am certain he will respect you more if you quit harping on the past and just be glad for him that he had another chance at possible Happiness.

seems as if that conversation you keepstarting with him is getting alittle old and he may not want to reply or he may still have some feelings and also may just want to keep his comments to him self who knows did you pay attention to exacely how many dots he types it may represent a swear word for all we know- the best thing to do is just ask him to honestly answer why he puts the dots down then leave him alone about it-which is more than likely what he wants!

i think that he just means he doesn't want to talk about it. i mean i wouldn't want to talk about my ex especially in front of my new friend. i would put off the conversation also by doing that. deep down he may still like her, but you may need to talk to him in real life ( not on messenger so he can put ........... ) and ask him what he really thinks. he may even like you.

he may have a few left over feelings but the "........" probly means that ur just annoying him. let the guy move on. dont push the issue if hes with someone else.
