There are many, but people can't listen, because of "beliefs".

There will be 2 prophets who never died but were taken directly into Heaven by God: Enoch and Elijah. They will return someday to die on Fox News and CNN only to rise from the dead 3 days later (my whimisical interpretation of Revelations).

Jesus told his disciples to preach the Gospel to the entire world and baptize those in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Preaching the Gospel is the new "prophecy" if one wishes to use that term. Baptism allows one to become a Christian by experiencing what Christ experienced.

Rather than waiting for the next prophet Isaiah - what is wrong with reading the Gospel and teaching the Gospel to those who yearn for more meaning such that they wouldn't seek such meaning from Ted Haggard or Pat Robertson.

there are many prophets today. Clements is considered a prophet, Aquila Nash has given prophecies that have been very accurate and there are others. But the main point is that the Word says that the "testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy" - that makes every born-again believer a type of "prophet" in their world.

Branham (I hope I spelled it right) was the last one I know of in the US.

Other people have the gift of prophecy, but they are not prophets.

How would we know if there has been? In our modern culture we label anyone crazy who claims to hear voices or chooses to go against the norms of society.
