Where are places to meet women?

as in smart, intellegent, funny, stable single women who actually know what they want in a guy and look for just that.

A few places to look:
Join MENSA and go to meetings and dinners (you don't have to be a genius, I think you just need an IQ of at least 130), take an art class of some kind, or singing class for adults (women take those kinds of classes ALL the time), and my BEST recommendation would be to take a ballroom dancing class such as Swing, Salsa, ChaCha... Women LOVE men who can dance, and you will meet more intelligent, "stable" women in a ballroom dancing class than you will in your typical, singles night club. Good luck meeting new women!

Starbucks or the library! That's where the smart, stable chicks hang out...people watch for a few minutes and see who actually shows some personality :) You'll rarely find these girls at parties or bars, at least not sober, hahaha...catch them in their element instead!

where else would a smart single woman go. They do not have a man so they spend their time getting smarter and they are definitely stable because they aren't out desperately looking for a guy to support them. They have free time to be there and read so if they are single they have a job.

college campus, sometimes church, shopping malls, nice restaurants, karoke hang outs, hospital waiting rooms (wierd, I know) or go to your bud's class reunions that's where I met my husband. Nice girls like to have good wholesome fun. Good luck. when luck seems to be too minimal, just pray to God to lead you to meet a nice lady, it'll happen!

well.... probably the club, stores, restaurant, sometimes at your kids graduation, the park, anywhere where it's a beautiful place that is not too loud or too quite!! and not a place where there are wild children running around and being loud and noisy!

Bars are of course the worst place to go. If you want to meet a good woman, you have to find her where decent women hang out. I gather you are looking for a seriously good lady for a seriously good relationship.

VOLUNTEER. This is a positive activity and conversation flows easily with other do gooders. Choose your non profit with care. Not all charities are equal when it comes to meeting women. Choose one that women enjoy. Any good local environmental or political organization draws women. It is also a good karma way to help people tool

COOKING OR SEWING. Sign up for a few lessons and join em. Even if you are the worst knitter around most women will be polite and encouraging. Amazing how women can appreciate a man with knitting needles. It can become a pleasant way to meet someone and have sensible fun without too many hassles.

TAKE A BICYCLE TOUR. This is another good meet n greet activity. Lots of women do tours. There are often benefit rides for MS or whatever so you are also doing charity work too! These women are very health conscious, confident and nice. Bike tours often include an overnight stop, great idea, hmm? There are tours available for all distances usually, and you work up your stamina. Women like it because it gives them great legs. And bottoms. You will too. And those tight little racing shorts they wear can inspire you to enjoy being last in line LOL.

TAKE A SELF-IMPROVEMENT WORKSHOP. These people are evolved, sensitive and looking to become more so. There is much room for interaction because of those group exercises. Women like them because they learn about the opposite sex and listen to men. You will walk away with more self-confidence and positive reinforcement about yourself.

JOIN A SUPPORT GROUP. This is a caring environment where everyone shares their deepest needs and fears. This way you can discover if a woman is attractively insecure or certifiable. Remember to be honest and not make something up. Women love positive male input and the help they get with their problems. You never know, you might give up that habit you have sworn off for the last ten New Year resolutions!

DO A CHARITY MARATHON. Every organization seems to have these walks or runs for fundraising. These women are healthy and careful of their health. There is much training involved and this is a good way to meet fellow athletes. Perhaps pair with a female training buddy for the months ahead of the race. Get to know her. Have an after race gathering full of pasta and fun. This is a good place to feel like they are doing good and feeling good. A very healthy environment. Many are passionate about the cause for the marathon or a personal connection. Maybe they lost a friend or mother to breast cancer. So there is also an element of activism involved. This is also a great way to raise money and feel good and get healthy.

HANG OUT AT COFFEE BARS. Every city has a million of these. Many encourage patrons to linger and read and chat. In my town there are many built right into very good bookstores. We have on that has philosophy nights every Wednesday. This is an easy way to approach someone about the book they are reading as they sit across from you on a sofa. Good way to meet people for sure. You might end up continuing the convo over dinner. This also gives you a break from work and $$ etc. You not only meet women, but catch up on you reading and improve your fabulous brain.

YOUR LOCAL HEALTH STORE. Customers here will be health minded. There are usually boards with great ideas of local healthy activities like cooking classes or yoga or some such. These women are healthy and like to take care of themselves and are often good cooks because they are fussy about what goes into their tummies.

CONVENTIONS. Conventions of any sort will attract large groups which can increase your chances of meeting a nice single woman depending upon the topic. It offers also immediate topics of discussion and exploration. If a woman is at such a thing, chances are she is passionate about the subject matter. You might find her. You might find a new passion without her.

A FEW LAST LOOSE END IDEAS. Check out a dancing group or a coed baseball team. How about your trusted friends? Family members? Join an amateur theatre group! Not just to act but perhaps props or whatever interests you. Church groups. Gyms.

UNIVERSITY COURSE. Discover a hidden passion for “feminist issues in the 19th century” or the arts. Find an interest that is a reflection of you and pursue it. Philosophy, the arts, athletics, world religions, the variety of offerings in higher institutions is amazing. Perhaps a business course. Tailor it slightly according to the type of female you seek but realize there are no “normals” out there.

Ads in the paper, well you have to be very cautious, same as anyone you might meet on the internet. Internet dating services, some are good, some are bad. And when they are bad, they can be very very bad.

Don't give up hope -- don't head for the monastery just yet! Take a deep breath, catch your second wind. I am going to suggest win win activities for you even if you strike out. But, chances are you will meet with success.
