You tell her you love her. You listen some more - and you tell her you love her. Then you listen some more and you tell her you love her - and God loves her too - and tell her you will pray for her.
You can't change your sister. But you can change the way you see her. If you begin seeing her as a loving, unselfish, beautiful soul - that's what she will be.
You're doing just what you should be doing. Listening, loving and praying. She is so very blessed to have you as a sis!!

Learn about the stages of grief. Help her to walk through them. Suggest she find someone she can trust that also knows the stages of grief. Pray someone will come into her life who also knows the pain she is going through as well as God. Until she has worked through her grief she will not have enough emotional strength to deal with anything else. I know, I've been there. God will take care of it if you don't push her away with too much pressure. She needs care, love and acceptance now.

I agree with lizzabizza.
I've been in those dark emotional holes and people telling me about goodness and love didn't matter. But hearing it over and over, it did -- slowly -- start to sink in.
Sometimes just making it through the day is good, and if you can keep gently reminding her of that, it can be the start of a foundation for accepting recognition of other goodness.

Well, I would just be patient and loving in explaining to her things like God's plan. You need to be gentle with all of this information, because she will most likely be hostile toward this information, but be persistent and things will come around.

Sometimes nothing needs to be said. As a matter of fact I think we try to "fix" people way to often. Just listen. Don't say a word, even if what she is saying sounds morose.

Tell her to pray and ask God, she needs to see God as not only as her father, but as her best friend to come to when she has problems.

How about helping her with reality and not with fairy tales?
