Loan from my girlfriends dad?

He is loaning me money to pay off my credit cards which is several thousand :( I know thats bad. But anyways we are trying to get a apartment and I want to get my cards down. But since he is giving me this loan do I have to claim it on taxes next year? He is not charging me intrest.

No you dont have to claim anything on your taxes.

A loan isn't taxable, even if it is from a bank, so no.
