It would help to know more about the party: is it a spiritually themed party? then a church would be lovely. If it is to be a tea or cocktail party, your home or a park might be more appropriate. It sounds like a good idea. I always think Easter is the red-headed stepchild of holidays.

I guess my answer would depend upon where you live.
If you live in a warm weather state, I would suggest you have your party in a local park. You could plan an Easter egg hunt and other outdoor activities.
If you live in a northern state, maybe rent out a park shelter or a church hall (preferably one with a working kitchen).
Just some ideas.

The park sounds like a good idea if it's warm. Easter should really be done outside so the kids can hunt eggs!

It would depend on what type of Easter party it is. I have hosted parties in restaurants but that would not work if you were planning on activities for children such as egg hunting. Is there a church in your area that would rent out their fellowship hall for something like that. Churches in my area do that. The church services should be over early and you should not have any trouble renting a room or a hall in the church.

If you are in a climate that can accomodate an outdoors setting, consider talking to your local parks and recreation department and reserving an area in a park for an outdoor event.
Also, they may have a building available for reservation for an indoor event.
Your church or local civic clubs may also have a suitable location for you either inside or outside on their property.

At the park. They have picnic tables were the adults can sit and talk and the big Field were children can play and find eggs.

I think you should have easter with those who really care for you after all is more fun to apreciate those holidays with those who apreciate you back. just a thought.
