Is it ever too late to start boxing? I am going to turn 17 on the 26th of march and was wondering is that too late to start? I dont want to be a professional or any thing i just want to box amatuerly and get more trophies in my trophy case. Can somebody please tell me cause i really want to start soon! lol.

Of course if you are doing for entertainment, fitness and fun it is never too late. It is like asking if it is too late to ski or take up basketball just for fun. Of course anytime.

If you wanted to do it as a pro you would be starting late but it is still possible. It would be very difficult but possible.

It's never to late to start, Tarver started at 28 and became a millionare while teaching Roy Jones to keep his right hand higher coming off the ropes.

Yes. At some point (and it's different for every individual) they lose "connection" with their mind and body and it all comes too hard and unnatural. At a certain age your tolerance for taking punches just diminishes.
