CHECK CONNECTIONS ON THE SOLENOID AND STARTER

If the car was in running condition when you last shut it off it may just be in need of a battery charge or "jump" from another vehicle. If the car was running and then suddenly stopped, and attempts at restarting are now the single click you describe, then you may have a broken timing belt. If your engine is what is called an "interference" motor a piston is jammed against an open valve. If that's the case, you may need some extensive engine repair. It's not always the case, but it's a possibility. One other possibility is the starter solenoid is in need of replacement.

water in the starter is a bad thing and it may have gotten in their durring the underbody wash. if you keep trying it, it might eventually get dried out enough to work and when you run the car the heat from the motor might dry the starter out but then it may not be trust worthy.

The very first thing to check is the battery post to see if they are lose. If they are lose then tighten them up. It should start up. If you still have the same problem check to see if there is corrosion on the battery post them. If there then cleaned them off and it should start. If after all that and you still have that clicking sound then it more then likely it is the starter.

Be somewhat specific that the gas rigidity is okay: use a guage. If it somewhat is powerful, a caught-open EGR valve is accessible. If on the finalchronic the engine replaced into completely warmed up, you will been been cruising and then it stumble/bumble died once you slowed down, the valve could be caught. The valve stem can in simple terms grab or, frequently, a bite of carbon will carry it open.

could be a bad battery connection or the battery volts are to low and need to charge the battery. or the starter is bad.
