Regarding the first answer...

I spoke with the AKC in SC this morning regarding my BLACK boxer. Yes you might think there are none, but she told me they do exist but are very rare and of course a goldmine. She mentioned that my dog will be the healthiest between those months otherwise I wouldn't be posting it. Whether or not you are a breeder is none of my concern but I rather listen to someone from the AKC rather then someone who claims to breed. Thanks for your response.

She is a dark brindle with very extensive black markings covering the majority of her body with a white chest and white boots.

If you are going to disagree then just don't answer. It's that easy.

This is a joke, right? You wouldn't even think of breeding a puppy, right? Especially one that that hasn't been hip tested, eye tested, heart tested, or shown, right?

You need to get back in touch with a good boxer group and a good boxer breeder and talk with them about your desires. Right now, you are wanting to be a BYB. Your dog is WAY too young to be bred and is probably not a breeding quality dog. Who ever told you 8-9 months is flat out WRONG!!!!

As far your thinking your dog is "rare", colour is not a reason to breed a dog. Overall closeness to the breed standard is the most important thing - not colour. AKC is meaningless. A puppy miller is an AKC breeder. All it does is verify lineage. It means NOTHING regarding your dog's breeding quality.

If you breed your dog now, you will be violating virtually EVERY ethic out there.

You can see that most people here are disagreeing with whoever you spoke to. Contact the American Boxer Club and discuss this with them directly. I think that you will find their views 180 degrees different than the moron you spoke to.

You are joking right? You can't honestly be considering breeding a 7 MONTH OLD PUPPY!! DO NOT BREED THE POOR LITTLE PUPPY NOW!! SHE IS MUCH TOO YOUNG. NO DOG SHOULD EVER BE BRED BEFORE THEY ARE 2 YEARS OLD - EVER!!!!!! BREEDING A 7 MONTH OLD PUPPY WOULD BE LIKE LETTING A 4 YEAR OLD HAVE A CHILD!!

DO YOU KNOW WHAT HEREDITARY DISEASES BOXERS ARE PRONE TO? YOU ARE NOT HELPING ANYBODY BY LETTING THIS POOR LITTLE PUPPY HAVE PUPPIES. SHE IS A PUPPY HERSELF!!!

Breed her when she is 2 YEARS OLD, when she has CHAMPION TITLES WITH HER NAME, when she is AKC registered, when she is VET CHECKED and deemed HEALTHY, when you get a specialist to clear her of HEREDITARY DISEASES such as hip dysplasia, Boxer cardiomyopathy, Aortic Stenosis and when you are 110% that there are no signs of Cancer in her bloodlines.

" I need one QUICK because my boxer will be the healthiest between 8 and 9 months old. " - you don't honestly think that just because your 7 month old is not sick, that she is healthy? You probably got her from a backyard breeder. In fact, I KNOW that you got her from a backyard breeder. I think this because a) she has not been spayed yet (all reputable breeders will ask you to sign a spay/neuter contract), b) because they have not asked you to keep in contact with them and c) because they would try to do everything possible to keep you from breeding this little puppy.
" please help as my boxer is in desperate need of a boyfriend. lol. " - no, she is NOT in NEED of a boyfriend. She is REPRODUCING to be ABLE to CREATE. Not because she "NEEDS" a "BOYFRIEND".

***GET THIS POOR, 7 MONTH OLD PUPPY SPAYED!***

EDIT: " I spoke with the AKC in SC this morning regarding my BLACK boxer. Yes you might think there are none, but she told me they do exist but are very rare and of course a goldmine. She mentioned that my dog will be the healthiest between those months otherwise I wouldn't be posting it. " - yes hun, they are "RARE" because no reputable breeder will think about creating black Boxer pups. Black Boxers do not exist in any way. The colour gene responsible for the black coat in Boxers does not exist in the Boxer gene pool. If you see a "black Boxer", it is NOT purebred!!!! The only part of a Boxer that should be black is the mask on the face, and some on the body.

Black? I have yet to see or hear of a truely BLACK Boxer that's not a mix. There are sealed brindles, and/or extremely dark reverse brindles. You will NOT see any breeder worth ANY kind of salt breeding for this color - as it goes against the breed standard. Which you want to stick to, of course, don't you? (yes, breeding whites or for them is extremely unethical as well)

Look - I don't give a damn what some AKC person tells you. They are a registration group - nothing more! You want to know what's okay to breed - try the American Boxer Club. It is BEST and HEALTHIEST for your Boxer to breed after their 2 year birthday. And of course, after they're hips, heart (echo and holter), elbows, and eyes are cleared. Adding DNA profiling is even better. As well as having points put on her in the show ring - again, you want to stick to the breed standard, now don't you?

Here's a site for you to chew over: www.learntobreed.com I want you to pay special attention to the 'True Stories' sections. It may just make you sick. In fact - I hope it does. Then maybe you'll get what you're about to put your PUP through.

Reply to your last edit -- It's NOT that easy. When people who love dogs, and especially enthusiasts of the certian breed you're trying to breed unethically, see you asking questions like this: we can't ignore it. We are responsible TO respond and give you what for. If we do not attempt to make you see the light - we might as well be doing the same as you.

Not to be mean or anything ,but why would your PUPPY be healthiest between the age of 8 and 9 months old?????????? She shouldn't be bred until she is 18 months old to two years and that is AFTER she has had her heart tested and cleared with a Holter Monitor, EKG, color Doppler etc. and the other thing, is she what a boxer is to look like as in the breed standard,I am a breeder both for show and pet Please dont breed her she is still a BABY!!!!

Any litter of AKC puppies will not be able to be registered if the mother is younger than 8 months old. In most cases that is when toy breeds could be bred because they mature faster than large breeds. Boxers should not be bred before 14 months old . that is when MOST but not all are physically mature. You are in for a lot of heart ache if you breed her this early. As for the gold mine in black boxers, sure they are rare but if you only produce a few puppies how are you going to make money. Which is why you are doing it. IF you love your dog at all you would not make her go through motherhood at the dog age equivalent of a 12 or 13 year old human. Yes 12 and 13 year old girls are healthy at that age and may be capable of having babies but that doesn't mean they are physically and mentally ready for the job. I am not trying to be mean to you but think of your poor dog PLEASE!

I don't know who you talked to in SC, but it wasn't anyone from the AKC......they are located in NC. And I know no one from the AKC recommended breeding a puppy!

I'm sorry, but no female should be bred before they are 2 yrs old. You are asking a puppy to have puppies! She won't be fully mature until about 18 months and OFA screening can't be done until she is 24 months.

Is there any history of Cancer in her bloodlines? Hip Dysplasia? Cardio problems? Thyroid problems? Blindness? She needs to be checked for all of these before breeding as does the male you breed her with.

Producing pups from a pup is not for the betterment of the breed. You are decreasing her lifespan......

I don't buy that you talked to someone at AKC & they told you to breed her between 8 and 9 months old & if they did you should call back and speak to their supervisor and tell them what was said. You should get her spayed and not be so worried about money

Your dog, even if she's been in heat before, is not ready to be bred. You need to wait AT LEAST 2 years. And if you didn't know that, I'm sure you shouldn't be breeding your boxer

All I have to say is that you are a dumbass and should not be able to have dogs. Your female may die giving birth so young but what do you care.
