You need to lay newspaper on the floor next to the door that has access to outside. Whenever you see your pup preparing to go potty, pick her up and put her on the paper and tell her potty!
Praise, praise and PRAISE her when she does this. Tell her off 'NO' firmly when she goes on your floor. Please do not hit her.

You can also start putting her outside just after a drink or meals or again when you see her preparing to go. Put her in her toilet place outside and tell her to go potty, or toilet or weese, whatever your word for going to the toilet will be. It will not take long as labs are intelligent and will cotton on pretty quickly. Just be patient and remember not to tell her off if you come home to a mess on the floor, she will not know what you are telling her off for. Only tell her off if you catch her in the act and no smacking!

Lots and lots of patience! Labs are notoriously energetic especially as pups. I use these techniques...
1) I use a spray bottle with about 1/3 vinagar and 2/3 water(you can lesson the amount as the dog begins to obey). WHENEVER the dog does something you do not like spray it and say NO! in a stern athoritative voice. Encourage your company and the rest of your family to do the same.
2) Use shaker training. A coffee can filled with pennies and shake it when the dog disobeys.
3) Utilize crate training. Until the dog can be trusted crate it while you are gone this way you can discipline the animal while you are around and it will not think that it can get away with things while you are away. Once you can trust the animal let it out small amounts of time slowly increasing for every 2 weeks of excellent behavior.
Just remember with any dog the best advice is consistancy! Just like a child you must keep your alpha dog stature with your puppy, loving but athoritative.
Good Luck and enjoy your new baby!

Whenever you see her starting to go inside, pick her up and bring her outside. Don't scold or punish her, at 8 weeks they can't hold their bladder, so she's going to have some accidents.

Bring her outside frequently and always praise her for going to the bathroom outside. If you want her to always go in a certain spot, just bring her to that spot each time.

If you aren't going to be home or able to watch her you can use crate training to help potty train her. But she shouldn't be in the crate for more than two hours at 8 weeks.

I'd get a puppy book for more information on housebreaking.

P.S. Another tip to help her get used to the idea of "holding it", after you've fed her, put her in the crate for 30 minutes or so and take her directly outside afterwards and tell her to go.

Ok here we go house training is only as hard as you make it. For one many people do not understand why their dog does not know what to do when taken outside. Just letting him go outside a few times a day is not the way to house train a dog. Merely taking him outside also does not mean he knows what he is being taken outside for. The biggest problem between the dog and you is that the dog would love to please you but doesn't know how to communicate with you. The theory of housebreaking is a simple one. It is finding a means of preventing your puppy from doing his duties in the house and only giving him the opprotunity to do them outside. Dogs are a creature of habit because they learn by association. consistant training is a must. Crate training is a must as well since most dogs will not soil where they sleep. If the crate is to big they will soil in it so if you have a large crate since he is a large breed block off at leat 1/2 of it with a plastic tote which most people have in their homes just laying around. It is a quick fix unless you bought one that comes with a divider. Pups must go potty first thing in the morning and I mean first thing take the dog outside. He's been clean all night-and holding it all night-he will do his business in a hurry because he has to go. Now bring him in and give him some freedom but in the kitchen only. A childs gate in the doorway is an excellent barrier to the other rooms in the house. Give him his freedom while breakfast is being prepared and while you are eating breakfast. After you have eaten feed him his breakfast. By you eating first it shows that you are the dominate one in the household. After he is doine eating take him out immediately. Bring him in to play and then crate him again. He will whine when he needs to go out since he will not soil where he sleeps. If he falls asleep outside of the crate put him back in so he wakes up and has to get your attention to let him go potty. Remember dogs relieve themselves after eating-sleeping-and having exercise. It is really all about routine and a crate is the best way to set up a routine not only for the dog but for you as well. The bottom line is you cannot take your dog outside to much. If you take him out every hour he knows he will get a chance to go outside. also do not underestimate how important it is to ask your pup if he wants to go outside just before going out and praising with good outside when he does go. Praise everytime you see him pee or poop. Do this forever. Reinforcing good behavior never hurt anything. Also if you don't catch him in the act do not punish him. Never rub his nose in it ir hit him . He will not know what he has done. If you do catch him in the act pick him up and say a firm no, then take him outside so he can finish relieving himself, follow that with a good outside or good boy/girl. I have used all of the tips I have given above with my 5 week old great dane pup and he has made such a big improvement over the last two days it is remarkable. Just be consistent with it and you will be surprised with what the both of you can accomplish. Good Luck

You can go to obedience classes with your dog, some you might have to pay for, but I'm sure you can find a place where they give free classes. Go to the library and get a book about the dog or check the internet for more information about classes.
