Yes, and yes. They are all pretty much trained the same (hairdressers) and since it's just a trim, I wouldn't be scared.

I went once and it was a terrible experience. The hairstylist was rude and condescending. she made me feel like crap. Oh and by the way I was only 14 at the time lol.
I prefer to get my hair cut only 2-3 times a year and go to a nice salon. If you are in the North East and have a Hair Excitement salon near you I recommend them. Frequently they put up ads for 30% off all salon services or 20 percent more on each gift card you buy example 100 dollar gift card gets you 120 in services. Ask for a junior or designer stylist. Last time I got a great shampoo cut and style for just 22.00, which was about 30 percent less than Id been spending at a similar salon.
