Actually yes, that's a bit excessive. You should give your body at least one day to rest. This allows your muscles, joints, endocrine and nervous systems to recover.
I should say, this is if you're doing cardio. If you're doing strength training, you need even more rest.

no thats not too much. in fact 30 minutes of physical activity everyday is the minimum requirement in staying fit. however, if your goal is to lose weight you must do at least 45 minutes-1.5 hours. since it takes your body to burn the excess glucose from your meal, it only reaches the fat burning zone(which means that it's burning fat for energy instead of glucose) after 30 minutes. try lengthening your sessions by 10 minutes every week. and change your routine so that your body doesn't reach a plateau in its fitness. i go to the gym 6 days a week for 1 hour and 45 minutes, i dont think thats too much, because i give it an entire day of rest !

I would agree that taking one day off can be very beneficial and restorative. If you are doing resistance training, take two or three days off from that per week from doing so. Alternating that with cardio is a good idea.
The other angle here is to make sure your life stays in balance. Pursuing fitness is an excellent goal. Just make sure no other part of your life slips as a result.

What kind of excercising is it? Running on treadmills kinda stuff, minor stretching and yoga or actually lifting heavy weights strenously? If its the latter I would definitely say take at least 1 day off, maybe more like two or three, but if its the first one then No.
